A Danish language café

Snak
Snack

We take the bite out of learning Danish!

We're bringing together native speakers and language learners to make Danish fun, social, and exciting. Because Danish is hard — but it's worth the effort.

Who it's for

Yes, you.

Whether you moved to Denmark last month and know roughly twelve words, or you've been here for years and want to finally get your Danish off the ground — you'll fit right in.

Complete beginners

Intermediate learners getting unstuck

Confident speakers wanting practice

Native Danes — you play an essential role

Mixing different levels and people (and foods) is the whole point.

What to expect

Grab your lunch and come hang out.

Every second Wednesday at lunchtime, a small group gathers at BLOXHUB for an hour of relaxed Danish conversation. No agenda, no pressure to perform.

You might find yourself chatting with a near-fluent speaker one moment and helping a total beginner the next. That's exactly how we like it.

  • Every second Wednesday

At lunchtime, for about an hour.

  • BLOXHUB, Copenhagen

    Expanding to wider Copenhagen soon.

  • Bring your own lunch

Snacks (and coffee) are on us.

  • All levels welcome

    Including native Danish speakers.

  • Free to attend

Always has been, always will be.

The mascot

Meet Hans.

Every good community needs a mascot. Ours is Hans — a small, cheerful Hoptimist who has attended every Snak Snack without fail. He doesn't say much (he's a toy), but he radiates exactly the right energy.

Warm, optimistic, and utterly unjudgemental about your pronunciation. Leave your imposter syndrome at the door — Hans certainly has.
